I love comic books, so when I decided to respond to The Strokes' song Soma, I seized the opportunity to create my own graphic novel. My goal was to avoid a depressing theme, but after researching the song and its themes of drug-induced escape, I struggled with this.

I focused on the escape, depicting the rush of taking the drug through reckless driving and adrenaline. The pace of the frames and comic book style heightened the action. Influenced by various comics and car chase films, I approached this like a music video, with a job intro, adrenaline-filled chase, and an exciting outro.
